Motor City Pride began in 1972 as a small gathering of LGBT individuals in Detroit. Over the years, it grew into an annual event that attracted thousands of people from all over the state of Michigan. In 2011, Motor City Pride became an official non-profit organization, and Toni M. became the Volunteer Director. Since then, the event has continued to grow and evolve under her leadership.
